“Freestyle Frühling Session and Beach Party by Misano Adriatico,” Federico Zoccante wins second edition
Obereggen and Misano Adriatico confirm their bond thanks to snowboarding and Federico Zoccante who, on the snows of the Dolomites, conquered the second edition of “Freestyle Frühling Session and Beach Party by Misano Adriatico”. The boarder from Vicenza won the race that marks the twinning between the two locations, leaving behind the Tuscan Emanuele Bacci and the American Emily Williams.
Able to impose himself with his acrobatics inside the snowpark of the Latemar Dolomites and Val d’Ega area, Zoccante won two tickets to the San Marino and Rimini Riviera MotoGp Grand Prix, scheduled for Sept. 13, provided by Andrea Albani, managing director and managing director of the Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli.”
“It was an exciting competition thanks to the technical qualities of the participants, protagonists of incredible numbers on the ramps of the snowpark” highlighted the president of the Skateboardproject association of Bolzano Riccardo Larcher and his deputy Andrea Coppola. Skateboardproject organized the competition with the fundamental support of Morris Ferrari, shaper and point of reference of the Obereggen snowpark, and the collaboration of the ski lift company “Obereggen Latemar SpA” led by CEO Benjamin Kirchmaier, the “Fondazione di Partecipazione Misano: Mare, Sport e Cultura” chaired by Dr. Luigi Bellettini and the marketing consultant Antonino Minchillo.
In Obereggen, the Latemar Dolomite massif and the Adriatic Sea merged into one on the gentle snow cover of the area, as it was in April 2024: the snowpark, amidst general enthusiasm, was transformed into a “white beach” for the renowned Party at 2,000 metres by Misano Adriatico. As many as 30 collaborators and lifeguards from Visitmisano-Fondazione Misano, in the presence of the mayor of the Adriatic town Fabrizio Piccioni, set up a large kiosk where they prepared and cooked, on the spot, Romagna specialties starting with piadinas: as many as 670 were distributed for the joy of the athletes but also of numerous skiers, male and female, and snowboarders who met on the snow of Obereggen for this event. At the same time, Visitmisano illustrated the new features of the summer season in a gazebo set up downstream from the 6-seater Absam chairlift.
“In Misano as tradition dictates,” said President Luigi Bellettini, present in Obereggen with marketing collaborator Luca Santini, ”we will propose an integrated summer vacation between the sea with beach services and the hinterland with its scenic qualities. In addition there will be major motorsport-related events, within the MWC ‘Marco Simoncelli,’ unique experiences. Collaborations such as the one with Obereggen, which we thank for its hospitality, constitute a promotional flywheel to be implemented both here on the slopes and in Misano where our friends from Alto Adige will be present at the end of April.”
“The sunny day consolidated the twinning with our friends from Misano Adriatico” explained, on the sidelines, Thomas Ondertoller, marketing and communications director of the Obereggen Latemar SpA ski lift company, which will end its winter season on April 21, Easter Monday, while Misano, one of the most popular summer tourist destinations on the Adriatic Sea, will open its doors on June 8. Thomas Ondertoller and Andrea Albani addressed the issue of safety on the ski slopes and on the circuit, laying the foundations for possible joint projects in terms of prevention because, the two managers agreed, “it’s always about speed on the slopes”.
Strengthening the link between Obereggen and Misano Adriatico, from April 30 to May 11, representatives of the South Tyrolean resort will be on hand to illustrate what’s new in the upcoming summer season of the Latemar Dolomites in Misano, at the first Spring Oktoberfest in Italy: the “Frühlingsfest Romagna,” the brainchild of marketing consultant Antonino Minchillo.
